OPEN MIC NIGHT

These evenings are open to any artists who would like a platform to exhibit their musical skills. Artists do not pay an entrance fee.

We would normally ask that you perform 2-3 songs or tunes, these should not exceed 15 minutes in total. If  possible, please have one or two extra songs or tunes ready in case we have any spare time. Please also let us know if you need to go on early or late due to other commitments.

We start the evening between 8:00 and 8:30 and finish around 11:00 and there is a licensed bar that also serves tea/coffee.

We will always try to fit you in if you just turn up on the night, but we cannot guarantee to do so. It’s better to contact us beforehand.

We have a fully equipped PA (see equipment) and lighting available complete with an experienced sound engineer, so all you need to bring is yourself and your instrument. However if you have any specialist instrument mics/pickups/FX pedals/tuner please bring them.

We do not normally do sound checks for Open Mic Nights, but if you are unsure about any technical issues please make sure you arrive early and have a word with Steve our sound engineer.

It is a good idea to let us know that you would like to perform before the event to ensure a spot. Please contact Brian on 01284 717199 or by e-mail at folkwaller@yahoo.co.uk.

If you cannot contact Brian for any reason then e-mail us at Open Mic  with the words Open Mic as the subject.

To find us please check the “How to Find us” page for a map and address.

We look forward to seeing and hearing you on the night.
